Dr. Hossein Youseffam is a General Surgery Specialist with a Fellowship in Colorectal Surgery (Large Intestine and Anus). He completed his medical education in General Medicine at the University of Tehran from 1994 to 2002. Afterwards, from 2005 to 2009, he pursued his General Surgery residency at Urmia University.
After completing the required training courses, he obtained his Colorectal Surgery Fellowship degree from Iran University of Medical Sciences in 2014.

Laparoscopic surgery for colon and rectal cancer took a significant step forward in gaining widespread acceptance after the large COST study published in May 2004.
